Do we expect people to lie to us? What would our world be like if no one lied?
Well it asks if "we" expect people to lie to us and I would say maybe some people might expect people to lie, but personally I don't expect people to lie to me and I try to give people the benefit of the doubt mainly because I do my best to not lie to anyone and also I’m fairly good at being able to tell when someone’s lying at least for the most part. Now if no one in the whole world lied than you wouldn’t have to worry about people lying to your face or anything like that and also if no one lied there would be more justice in the justice system cause it would just be like ask them if they did it and if they said yes put them in jail if they said no then let them go. Make things a lot simpler. A way to not lie is if you don’t want to hurt someone than just say that you’re not going to answer the question rather than answering with a lie. So you don’t need to be in some fairy tale land to live without lies, yes it would be very difficult to do but is not impossible the author of the ways we lie even said that it wouldn’t be easy to eliminate lies from your lives which means that it’s not impossible to eliminate lying it would just be very difficult.

I like the way we lie when we don't want to hurt others. It may guilt me that I lied, but it makes me feel good to see them smile from it. c:
ReplyDeletei feel like this is a dream world trent!! i think lies are necessary to a certain extent. taking others toughts in to consideration generally leads to telling a small lie. and i think that if there were absolutely no lies ever told, then there would be sooo many problems in the world.
ReplyDeletepeople lie but i think it all depends on the situation they are in.. i think no people want to lie for sure but sometimes they just ought to.so i think u got a good point.
ReplyDeleteWell Jourdan you know you can take people's thoughts into consideration and still not lie but depending on the situation you might have to avoid the subject, but there are ways to tell people the truth in a loving way so that they're not hurt by what you say and learn from what you tell them.
