Yay first blog of the semester. Should corporations have the same rights as individuals?
Ok so this thing about corporations having the same rights as actual people I think it’s a bad idea altogether. Cause look at it this way corporations are going to have a lot more money then an individual and in most cases money equals power, he more money you have the more power you have and so if corporations have all this power as to who gets elected into office most likely they’re going to be running the country at some point so bad news bears right there. But my thoughts on this is that they already have a lot of power already so they should be reducing the rights of corporations rather than giving them more rights cause they’re not actual people, they’re a group of people. America is suppose to be a country that’s run by the people not he corporations, in the race for campaigning the one with the most money wins right so it should definitely be that corporations should have less rights.

Its true.Because they are working for such powerful companies, they receive money that is used for so many wrong reasons. They can buy out elections and possibly even bribe people to not sue them, just like Michael Jackson did. (No offense.)
ReplyDeletei think that regulating corporations is just like regulating the wealthy. but regulating the wealthy wouldnt be fair since they are everyday people just as middle and lower class people are. its not fair for corporations to be regulated. however i think that the power they have in campeigns is not fair and they should not be able to "buy" a win in an election.
ReplyDeleteIn a way I would say that corporations should be left completely uninvolved with elections
ReplyDeleteyes Trent i think u got the same view like i do. i too think it already has too many rights. and having right to spend money on the candidate election is not a good idea beacause they will have all the power and of course someone who is favor of them would win.
